Nonprofits Earn the Transparency Seal
Excellence in Giving recognizes Transparency when charities share more data about governance, finances, strategy, and impact than the IRS requires. Each recognized charity has submitted 175 data points about operations and performance for donors to review before making an informed giving decision.
Transparency certification distinguishes a new breed of nonprofits committed to a higher standard of open and accountable relationships with donors.
Transparency seal recipients voluntarily disclose debt levels, Board practices, 3-year program and financial trends, impact stats, strategic plans, and even an internal S.W.O.T. analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats). The resulting 2-page Nonprofit Analytics reveal the challenges and successes an organization has experienced executing its strategy, funding its operations, and achieving its mission. In a world where too many dishonest nonprofits have hidden problems until their scandals make headlines, the Transparency certification distinguishes a new breed of nonprofits committed to a higher standard of open and accountable relationships with donors.
Excellence in Giving recognizes the 223 nonprofits in the first 3 Quarters of 2022 who have earned to Transparency Seal:

Thank you for this report. Transparency is hugely important.
From: Mary
I look forward to seeing more of your analytics provided for the industry/field to learn about its own challenges and opportunities. Philanthropic communities know some of it, and those professionals in leadership who have the time and are supported to dig deeply into trends know some of it, but a lot more research and analysis is needed. I think front line workers and communities at large should also have some more of that data easily accessible so they can support growth and further capacity building from the inside. Regards to you and your team!
